What began as a drone vision conversation led to something much bigger. After a lukewarm first encounter at a tradeshow, STEMMER IMAGING USA followed up with a small UAV manufacturer and discovered an entirely separate opportunity. The company was developing a vehicle-based LiDAR and imaging system to map roadside poles and assets for municipalities. With the right support and imaging configuration, the project grew into a full product line.
The Challenge
Their early solution relied on a complex multi-sensor pod - expensive, difficult to integrate, and underwhelming in quality. The team needed a fresh approach with improved resolution, global-shutter capability, and modular scale-up potential.
