The Canon LI5040 is a 5.33 MP CMOS sensor designed for high-resolution imaging in compact systems. Featuring a square 3.4 µm × 3.4 µm pixel layout and a 2/3” optical format (8.8 mm × 7.0 mm), it delivers sharp, detailed images ideal for machine vision, industrial inspection, and advanced imaging applications.

With a global shutter architecture, enhanced near-infrared (NIR) sensitivity, and support for frame rates up to 120 fps, the LI5040 provides exceptional performance across fast-moving or multispectral imaging environments. Available in RGB, Monochrome, and specialized RGB-NIR filter configurations, this sensor supports both visible and NIR band separation from a single image—enabling compact dual-spectrum designs, reducing SWaP requirements, and enhancing applications such as precision agriculture and multispectral analysis.
