Canon LI7070SA CMOS Sensor

The Canon LI7070SA is a 2 MP CMOS sensor available in RGB (LI7070SAC) and Monochrome (LI7070SAM) variants, featuring enhanced near-infrared (NIR) sensitivity and high dynamic range (HDR) functionality. With a compact 1/1.8" format and square 4.1 µm × 4.1 µm pixel architecture, this sensor is ideal for space-constrained imaging systems that demand excellent low-light performance.

Engineered for night surveillance, transportation monitoring, and compact platforms such as drones and microscopes, the LI7070SA excels in challenging lighting conditions. The LI7070SAC offers approximately 2.4× greater NIR sensitivity than its predecessor (LI7050SAC), capturing full-HD video at illumination levels as low as 0.08 lux. The monochrome version achieves performance down to 0.04 lux, making both sensors suitable for industrial inspection, medical diagnostics such as fluorescein angiography, and other low-illumination imaging environments.
